Pauly calls me and says,"You know how you were saying that no one in the family tells you anything? Well has anyone told you about Friday? We're laying Grandma's ashes to rest."
Nice one.
I politely told him that I was going to both cry and hang up on him. I managed to just shake with anger for a bit and then call my father and leave a terse answering machine message.
He rang me back- didn't answer it- and left a long and sad and appologetic message on my machine.
I haven't rung him back yet.
I was invited to model in Dana's show. She said, "Mine or someone else will pick you up." Other people having shows at the event.
I was at a table with Dana, L and D and I just kept looking at them like they were all mad.
No girls and boys make up doesn't fix your figure. Sure I could walk down a cat walk- sure I could probably even do the walk half decently. I explained that years of Pub Strutting to the bathroom and back made me semi-qualified.
Hell I can even run in six inch heals if you want (how DID I get that talent I wonder?)But that doesn't make me good looking enough or ...
very strange these people.
D made a comment about me not realising this and that. I went to the bathroom and looked at my nice little drunken flushed face and thought- I do see it you silly peoples- I just don't think.... Or I just didn't know that you...
I walked back and halfway made out what they were all shouting at me, "STRUT! STRUT! STRUT!"
Foolish people. Heh.
Was down on the beach and it was dark and I realised that I only want to go to the beach when its dark.
Unless its uninhabited.
Fuck that was one of the nicest swims on record.
Even sitting crouched on the sand trying not to get my bum sandy wet and shivering because my hair was doing a great job of evaporative cooler... and I got to wear a jacket.
Trying to get out and into clothes without putting on a show.. empting out sand from bags in the morning.
Which is where the happy story ends and the muggy strange day began....
